What main parts? A third of the Lyall gates and the World Cup statue?

What else is being preserved?

WHOicidal Maniac 11:51 Tue May 10
Re: West Ham's auctioning of Boleyn memorabila
I get that they are Iconic and should be preserved and for the most part they are but its not like they are hundreds of years old and game with the building when we took the keys. They went up in '56 so its seems a bit strange to get hung up on the bits of gate that weren't preserved considering the whole ground and its 112 year history will be gone in a few months...

Re: West Ham's auctioning of Boleyn memorabila
No football museum would care. No-one even went to our one! The main parts are being preserved, that'll do me.

Re: West Ham's auctioning of Boleyn memorabila
Putting them is storage is stupid.

Chucking them away is stupid

Leaving for the contractors to strip and find their way on to ebay from some scum bag builder would be stupid

Putting an announcement out saying 'Take what you want' would be carnage.

This seems the most sensible way, although I think they should have offered all STH the chance to have their seat free of charge, instead of making people like me nick it.

Re: West Ham's auctioning of Boleyn memorabila
To be fair I couldn't give a shit about the rest of the stuff listed there but as I say, imo the gates are sacred and should be retained by the club in their entirety, or at least donated to a football museum.

My mrs does say I'm a bit of an hoarder, so maybe it's just me!!

There will be plenty of Upton Park memorabilia you can buy later this month after West Ham play their final game at the 35,000-capacity ground against Manchester United on Tuesday.

You might need a big garden or have a bit of clear out to make room for some of it but here's a guide price list:

Set of entrance gates, renamed John Lyall Gates in 2009 after former manager - £5,000

Matchday goalposts with net - £500

Manager's three-drawer desk, complete with office chair and phone - £50

'Reserved for chairman' car park sign - £50

Cow bell gift from pre-season friendly v Bayern Munich - £50

Tracksuit believed to have been worn by Trevor Brooking before 1980 FA Cup final victory - £300

Manager's dugout seat, complete with heated element - £100

Bubble machine used to accompany club anthem 'Forever Blowing Bubbles - £20

'Sorry position closed' ticket office sign - £20

Was it a dog turd from a dog owned by one of the players? If so my bid is £50 and I'll collect.
